Life for Lawrence Cassella truly began when he put on his first dance belt, discovering the duality
of a snug fit and sense of freedom. He had found the path that would lead him to eternal happiness.
Choreographer Ivy Baldwin has laughed with him, cried with him, sweated with him,
hugged and kissed him, and pushed him to explore the oddities of human experience.
She has kept him in her heart.

Such powerful energy @ The Martha Graham Dance Company class yesterday. A real
privilege to attend. I never hear music as strongly anywhere else in my life as when
I am with such a group of focused human beings. It's then when words and concepts
like tradition and lineage of teaching have their real meaning made manifest.
